I have never really been a Dave Matthews fan.. My tastes of music has changed so over the years.. In one point of my life, I followed the Grateful Dead for 3.5 years.. during that time I went to Rainbow Gatherings, too.. Then I started to listen to electronic music.. Skinny Puppy was the first electronic music I heard.. that is when I went away from acoustic music to electronic music.. I am still heavily into electronic / non-mainstream music.. Every once in a while I will listen to the Dead.. a lot of my roots come from that era of my life... <br /> <br />Point I am trying to make is that the Dave show was pretty good.. Good energy... Some bands do not sound good live.. Dave is not the case.. they sounded awesome.. They have a violin player.. sax player... not bad.. they had a nice huge screen so everyone on the lawn could see what was going on up on stage.. Met some cool people there.. These one guys had this mixed drink that was YUMMY.. I think it was Straw Butterscotch Rum (160 proof) mixed with root beer.. IT WAS YUMMY.. and potent.. Even my wife drank some.. (She never drinks).. They snuck in booze in ziplock bags.. the guy wore a kilt.. and snuck in with that.. Security would not question him.. hehehehe... Then we met this guy who had SUPERB ganja.. We have been out.. so this was a treat.. <br /> <br /><img src="http://virogen.elitehacker.net/stage1.jpg" align="right" alt="Stage"> <br />We were smart this time.. we brought two blankets, lots of water.. some ice.. lots of snacks.. sandwiches.. Snack Packs (tapioca).. We were set.. last time we went to this venue.. we spent over $100 on food/drinks.. It was also PERFECT weather.. it was 80 out.. night time it was nice.. just a little chilly with the wind. Tried to get good pix with cell.. but... you will see once I can post on my photoblog (seems to be down right now).... <br /> <br /><img src="http://virogen.elitehacker.net/gorge.jpg" align="right" alt="NICE"> <br />I had a good time.. I would go again.. My wife has always tried to turn me on to this band.. now I know why.. the lyrics are worth listening to.... My fav song at this time is 'When The World Ends'...
